This estate grown, limited release Merlot went through a spontaneous wild yeast fermentation, was unfined and then matured 18 months in French oak barrels (30% new).
This vintage shows Spiced plums and currents, coffee, cocoa, brown spices and tealeaf aromas. Fresh with restrained wild berry fruit, it's defined more by coffee, cocoa, and fine spice flavours. An honest red for grilled foods, creamy brie, or cheddar or roasted mushrooms.
